SPRAY QUALITY

The P30 maintains spray quality and maximises efficacy despite challenging conditions. This is achieved by adjusting the droplet size, height, speed and swath width. The same parameters can also be adjusted to achieve near zero spray drift making it possible to spray in areas where drift needs to be kept to a minimum. Droplet size can be as course as 550 micron (about the same as light rain) or as fine as 90 micron (about a fine mist).The University of Queensland conducted tests on the XAG P-Series spray system saying that it provides an ideal application platform that is capable of generating a full range of spray qualities. This includes the application of insecticides, fungicides and herbicides, including those where the regulator has mandated on the herbicide label that it must be applied with a “coarse”, “very coarse”, “extremely coarse” or “ultra coarse” spray quality. The University also completed spray drift tests reporting that the P-Series performed remarkably well in the drift trials, accurately placing the spray on the target with very little swath displacement.
